So Bentlee's birthday isn't officially until Sept. 24th but with Erica's wedding going on this week I decided to have Bentlee's party a little early. We had cake and ice cream for her on Sunday up at the new park in front of the middle school. The park was perfect for the kids. It had shade, a bathroom, and was very clean, we loved it! I don't think Bentlee was quite sure what to do with the attention that everyone was giving her, she is usually so funny and loud but she was just kind of quiet and sober throughout the party. I really wanted her to just dig into her cake, (which James decorated all by himself, I was really impressed), and make a huge mess like she usually does at home but she wasn't quite sure about it. I can't believe she is already one, I remember bringing her home from the hospital like it was yesterday. It's really exciting but a little depressing too in a way. She has gotten to be so much fun and we love her very very much!

Wow! I am also impressed that James decorated that cake--looks good. I would like to get together as well but this week is CRAZY for me. Its youth conference this weekend so I've got lots to do for that, plus its Kyle and erikas wedding plus I give the YW lesson Sunday and I;m supposed to perform a piano song at youth conference that I don't even know how to play yet...ANyways not sure why I'm going off to you=) I'll talk to you at the wedding and we'll plan something!
Bentlee is so stinkin' cute! Honestly, the picture with cake and icing on her face is priceless! Looks like the party was a ton of fun!
